WHO WE ARE
Founded in 2021, the JCBC Youth Group was born as an extension of JCBC itself, a pillar and backbone of the wider organization.
We bring together young Jains associated with JCBC, aged 19 to 35, across British Columbia. The group was created by and for the next generation of JCBC: young people anchored in Jain principles, committed to seva, and dedicated to lifting up the religion and community we share.
Our purpose is simple: to connect young Jains who are grounded in dharma, give them space to grow alongside each other, and carry forward the values JCBC has always stood for.
WHAT WE DO
Everything we do falls into one of three pillars.
Conversations and gatherings that explore Jainism and what it means to live by its principles today, from dharma discussions to achieving professional excellence.
Volunteering and hands-on support for the wider JCBC community, at major events like Mahavir Janam Kalyanak and the monthly Mahapuja.
Monthly outings that build friendship and trust within the group. Outdoors in summer, indoors in winter, always something to look forward to.

MEMBER VOICES
I have been an enthusiastic member of JCBC since moving to Canada in October 2021. With a background in marketing, I am passionate about growing and enriching our Jain community. As part of the Youth Group, I focus on sharing our values through social media and personal outreach. My goal is to empower and unite our community.
Coming to Canada at a young age, I have been an enthusiastic member of JCBC for the past four years. I am studying for my Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and recently joined the Youth Group, where I am involved in religious and youth initiatives. Drawing on my years with guru bhagwants in India, I want to share meaningful knowledge of Jain Dharma with today's youth, and show that it is possible to grow spiritually while achieving professional success.
RECENT HIGHLIGHTS

We did seva behind the scenes, from brainstorming and planning to running the operational side of the event alongside the directors. From setup to coordination on the day, we made sure everything ran smoothly so the wider community could simply show up and celebrate.

We brought one of the most sacred moments of our faith to life, recreating Bhagwan Mahavir's Janam Kalyanak as it would have unfolded in the Raja's darbar. The skit gave everyone, from young children to seniors, a vivid window into what our religion is truly about.

We kicked off the year with something a little different: a challenge to solve, together. Locked in with puzzles, riddles, and a ticking clock, we worked as one team, leaned on each other's strengths, and cracked our way out.
