WHY IT MATTERS

Membership is how we keep the temple open.

Running the temple costs money every year. Membership is what pays for it:

Joining takes three simple steps.

    Send your payment to:

    In the message, please add your name.

    Send us a WhatsApp confirmation

    After your e-transfer, message Neha on WhatsApp (opens in a new tab) with your name, address, and email address. We will confirm your membership, send your tax receipt, and add you to the member email and WhatsApp groups.

Who can become a member?
Any individual or family who wants to support JCBC and stay connected to the community. Whether you are new to BC or have been coming for years, you are welcome.
Does one membership cover my whole family?
Yes. One Life or Annual membership covers everyone in your household.
Will I get a tax receipt?
Yes. JCBC is a registered Canadian charity, and membership fees receive an official tax receipt. Please include your name with your payment.
When does annual membership start and end?
Annual memberships follow the calendar year, January 1 to December 31. If you join partway through the year, your membership covers the rest of that year.
What does Life Membership include?
A one-time payment of CAD 500 makes your family members for life. From your second year, a CAD 100 temple maintenance charge applies each year to help cover the cost of running the temple.
How do I pay?
By e-transfer to accounts@jaincenterbc.org. Please add your name in the message.
What happens after I pay?
Send Neha Kapadia a WhatsApp message with your name, address, and email address. We will confirm your membership, send your tax receipt, and add you to the member email and WhatsApp groups.
Where does my membership fee go?
Straight to the real costs of running the temple: the premises, property taxes, strata fees, utilities, and maintenance, plus the programs and events that bring us together. Every membership makes a difference.
